Certificate in strategic carbon management (UCL-ULg)
Certificate in Urbanism and sustainable development (UMons-ULg)
Specialised master in sustainable energy management
Several chairs have also been appointed, among them one in Chemical Processes for Sustainable Development (Angélique Léonard), and another in sustainable strategy (Accenture Chair, Nathalie Crutzen)
One have also to be noticed the participation of ULg to the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) in raw materials, giving a lot of opportunities for education in the field of resource efficiency, circular economy, …
Research
These last years, several research groups were created in relation with sustainability, touching several faculties.

Some Highlights …
- “Vélo-actif” label
On 1 December 2015 , the University of Liege has added a third star to his label " Bike - active", awarded by the Public Service of Wallonia. This rewards for all actions carried out in 2015 , namely the loan electric bikes for staff , installation of 15 charging stations for electric bicycles, organizing training at the mechanical cycling, and the finalization of a cyclocross link on the Sart Tilman Campus
- Centralized heating system relying on a CHP associated to biomass boiler
The heart of the installation is a biomass boiler fed with wood pellets that produces 15 T/h of steam under a pressure of 41 bar. The heat recovered from the process is injected in the 24 km long heating network of the University campus which consists of 60 buildings and includes the CHU - Liège University Hospital Centre.
- « Mardis du Développement Durable »
For the fourth consecutive year, the province of Luxembourg in partnership with the ULg Arlon campus organizes the “Tuesdays of sustainable development”. From February to June a cycle of five conferences will address this year's theme of climate change and its health consequences. Arlon Campus hosts the Department of Environmental Sciences and Management, resolutely engaged in the implementation of sustainable development.
- Support of Energy Efficiency Fund (EEEF) to improve energy performance of buildings
1.5 million euros have been obtained from the EEF. This technical assistance aims at developing the launch of 15 building retrofit projects as well as the upgrade of the indoor and outdoor lighting network. The CHU - Liège University Hospital Centre and the ULg initiated a comprehensive investment programme of 30 million euros at the Sart Tilman campus, a shared site between both parties, with the objective to reduce electricity and heat consumption, the latter by even 50% per annum.
